AKSU Cut Off Mark for 2023/2024

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) was conceived and funded by the Akwa Ibom State Government. Unity of people with a passion to constantly seek knowledge that addresses practical issues of development in Nigeria.The university opened its doors to its pioneer students in the 2010/2011 academic year.

At conception, the university was to be located within Akwa Ibom State’s Technology Triangle at the University Town. However, the administration of the Akwa Ibom State Government have changed the enabling law of the university into a multi-campus institution with the main campus at Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin L.G.A and a second campus fondly known as Abak Campus situated at Obio Akpa, Oruk Anam L.G.A.

AKSU Cut Off Mark 2023/2024

Cut off mark can be defined as the minimum score or point needed for admission consideration into any higher institution. Any candidate who wishes to gain admission into a higher institution must meet the required cut off mark. Cut off mark actually vary in different institutions.

What is AKSU Cut Off Mark 2023/2024

The cut off mark for Akwa Ibom State University AKSU for the 2022/2023 academic session has been released. The management of AKSU has pegged this year’s cut off mark at 160.

This means that all interested candidates must score up to 160 and above in the recent JAMB-UTME exercise. The minimum score must be satisfied before one can be considered for admission into the institution. All qualified candidates can now proceed to buy the school’s Post UTME form.

AKSU UTME 2023/2024 Admission Requirements

Below is the list of the necessary requirements.

(i) Admission into the Akwa Ibom State University shall be through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) or Direct Entry.

In addition to attaining the general required standard in UTME, candidates must satisfy the general University requirements as well as the specific Faculty and Programmes requirements.

Note: All admissions shall be through JAMB.

(ii) All candidate must be over 16 years of age by 1st October in the year of admission.

(iii) All candidates must possess at least 5 credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language at GCE O/L, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.

(iv) Candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/L, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents.

AKSU 2023/2024 Direct Entry Requirements

All candidates for Direct Entry admission must possess any of the following qualifications:

(i) Two (2) passes at GCE A/L, HSC, IJMB or approved equivalents in relevant subjects and at least credit passes in three (3) other subjects, including English Language at GCE (O/L), WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.

(ii) Three (3) passes at GCE A/L, HSC, IJMB or approved equivalents in relevant subjects and at least credit passes in two (2) other subjects including English Language at GCE O/L, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than two sittings.

(iii) Two (2) passes at merit level or above in two (2) recognized NCE, OND, HND subjects or approved equivalents and at least 3 credit passes in other subjects including English Language at GCE O/L WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
