 History of Akwa Ibom State College of Science and Technology

The Akwa Ibom State College of Science and Technology was established on 3rd November 1997 as a “School of Remedial Studies” to replace the defunct School of Arts and Science Uyo, which was phased out in 1991.

REQUIREMENTS FOR AKWATECH Post UTME Form 2022/2023

  1. Four (4) recent coloured passport photographs.
  2. Photocopies of documents, credentials (NECO, WAEC, and NABTEB, as the case may be) or O’ Level examination registration slip (for Awaiting Result Candidates).
  3. Two files with Name, the desired Course of Study and UTME registration number clearly and boldly written on it.
  4. Screening schedule slip printed from the College Portal.
  5.  UTME Result Slip showing the candidates photograph in colour.
  6. Photocopy of Certificate of Origin from the Local Government.

NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) COURSES

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
(i) Candidates with five O’ level Credit Pass in not more than two (2) sittings and must score a minimum of 150 in 2022/2023 UTME.
(ii) Candidates with Five O’ level Credit Pass in not more than two sittings but scored below 150 in 2023/2024 UTME.
(iii) Candidates without UTME but with five O level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings.
(iv) Candidates with deficiency in one or more subjects in O’ Level Result.
(v) Candidates awaiting Result may also apply.
HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) COURSES

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

(i) Candidates who possess ND (National Diploma) from a recognised institution in relevant courses with a minimum of Lower Credit
(ii) Candidates with Pass may also be considered

PART-TIME PROGRAMME (4.00 – 7.00PM)
Available in all courses offered at the Polytechnic at ND and HND Levels
