BOSU Cut Off Mark for 2023/2024

Borno State University is in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria. It was established in 2016. It has five faculties with over 20 departments. The pioneer and current vice chancellor of the university is Prof. Umar Kyari Sandabe. In June 2021, the university’s senate building was inaugurated by Muhammadu Buhari the current president of Nigeria.

The noble idea to establish a State University in Borno State was first thought of by the administration of Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff which was actualized by Honorable Kashim Shettima, the former Executive Governor of Borno State. The Government clearly expressed its determination to provide sound and qualitative education in the state. It aimed at establishing a good tertiary institution for thousands of our Senior Secondary School Certificate holders at a time of stiff competition for admissions into institutions of higher learning to which Borno State is a catchment area and host community.

What is “cut off mark”?

Cut off mark may simply be defined as the minimum score required for admission into any higher institution of learning. It can also be defined as the score or points that admission seekers must meet in the JAMB UTME to qualify for admission consideration into any tertiary institution.

It is therefore important to know that only candidates who score up to the cut off mark are qualified for admission into any tertiary institution of learning. Those who scored below the cut off mark may not be considered for admission and are therefore advised to utilize other options or try again next year.

The management of Borno State University is glad to announce to the public and all interested candidates in particular that the school has pegged the cut off mark for 2023/2024 academic session at 130 and above.
