The Dennis Osadebe University, Asaba is a Public University in Asaba, Delta State.

The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses covering nine faculties: Agriculture, Science, Social Science, Environmental science, Information technology, Management technology, Basic medical sciences, Law and Arts.

The Dennis Osadebe University, Asaba was known as Delta State University, Anwai Campus until it was converted to a full university by the government of Delta State.

In January 2021, Governor Ifeanyi A Okowa of Delta State announced plans to convert Delta State University, Anwai Campus Asaba and two other schools into a full-fledged University, the bills had its first reading during plenary at the Delta State House of Assembly on the 28th day of January 2021.

In February 2021, the bill were passed into law after going through the house committee on Education.

While signing the bill which was passed by the State House Assembly, Governor Ifeanyi A Okowa said, “As the students of our technical education start to progress from the technical colleges to the polytechnics, they also have a chance of going further to the University of Science and Technology

What is “Cut Off Mark”?

The term “cut off mark” can simply be defined as the minimum scored required for admission consideration into any higher institution of learning. For any O’level holder or school leaver to secure admission into a tertiary institution of learning, he or she must meet the school’s cut off mark.

Only suitably qualified candidates would be given first consideration for admission into the institution of learning. All prospective candidates must score up to the school’s cut off mark.

What is DOU Cut Off Mark 2023/2024

Dennis Osadebe University, Asaba has placed her cut off mark for the 2023/2024 academic session at 160. This means that all interested candidates must score up to 160 and above to secure admission into the citadel of learning.
