The several years of yearning and struggle for a federal tertiary institution by the Ogbomoso people came to reality in February, 2021 when President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR), President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces established the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Ogo-Oluwa Local Government, Oyo State. The Federal Government approval for the establishment of the Institution was conveyed to His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State.
