The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) is a federal government university in Owerri West, the capital of Imo State, Nigeria.

The university is bounded by the communities of Eziobodo, Umuchima, Ihiagwa and Obinze. It is the premier federal university of technology in the South-East and South-South parts of Nigeria.
The university is the oldest university of technology in Nigeria and was established in 1980 by executive fiat with the composition and appointment of the first provisional council by Nigeria’s first Executive President, Shehu Shagari.

Eligibility For FUTO Post UTME 2023/2024
Interested candidates must have made the Federal University Of Technology, Owerri their 1st Choice in the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), and had a minimum score of 160 to qualify for the screening.
How To Apply For FUTO Post UTME
Qualified candidates should log on to futo.edu.ng/ and supply their JAMB Registration number and score and fill in relevant personal information (GSM number and e-mail address) to proceed.
Candidates are required to pay the sum of two thousand naira (N2,000.00) only for the screening test via the online payment portal available on the site.
After the payment, candidates must then fill in their O’level results with grades, Upload their passport photograph, and Preview and edit the Form. Upon form completion, the candidate must then submit and Print Out Application Form.

Online Screening Closing Date And Deadline:
The management of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) has announced 5th October as the latest closing date for the 2023/2024 FUTO Post UTME online registration/screening.
This means FUTO Screening Application Portal will be shut down on the 5th October .
