Gombe State University (GOSU) is located in Shamaki ward area of Tudun Wada, Gombe State, Nigeria. It is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

The state University has a Chancellor and 11 members of Governing council, principals and management staff. Professor Abdullah Mahadi was the first vice – Chancellor of the Gombe State University.

Gombe state University was setup by Governor Muhammed Danjuma Goje in 2003. The ministry of education created a 35 members committee of stakeholders, who report to the state executive council to establish a state own University.

GSU Post UTME Screening Form for 2023/2024

This is to inform the general public that the Gombe state University Post UTME Form for the 2022/2023 academic session is out. On this note the general public and all candidate are thereby advised to read through this article to see the date, requirements and procedures on how to apply.

How Much is GSU Post UTME Form?

The management of the Gombe state University has announced two thousand Naira (N2,000) as the price for their 2022/2023 post UTME form. Candidates are to note that this money is non refundable.

GSU Post UTME Eligibility

1) JAMB Cut Off Mark: Candidates must score at least 160 and must have selected Gombe State University as their first choice of Institution in their 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration exercise are eligible to apply

2) Candidates who did not choose GOMSU as their first choice institution, but wish to study in the institution are ELIGIBLE to apply for Gombe State University Post UTME on the grounds that such candidate(s) must have successfully completed a change of Institution and course to Gombe State University on the JAMB Portal before the closing date.

3) GOMSU O’Level Requirements: Candidate must have obtained at least five (5) credit passes at GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalent and these subjects must include English Language, and Mathematics.

4) Candidates must be at least 16 years of age at time of application.

How to Apply for GSU Post UTME Form 2023/2024

Eligible candidates are to pay a Non-refundable Screening charge of Two Thousand Naira (2,000) only via Gombe State University Remita Platform.

In the Name of service/Purpose section, select Post UTME Payment]. The Remita Slip shall be presented to the Bursar for issuance of official payment receipt and the Online Personal Identification Number (PIN) to allow them access to the University portal.

Candidates shall then visit the University portal via http://dhrd-gsu-edu.com/admissions/ to register for the Online Screening Exercise as follows:

  1. Enter Jamb Registration Number and PIN in the Form
  2. Click Login
  3. Fill the form to create a UTME/DE Screening Account
  4. Click Register
  5. Candidate’s details captured shall be displayed
  6. Click ‘Generate Data Form’
  7. A PDF File of two pages shall be generated:
    • Page 1 of the PDF captures candidate’s Registration details
    • Page 2 is the Candidate’s Post-UTME I.D. Card
  8. Print the two pages and attach photocopies of all credentials to page 1 and bring them along with the originals on the day of the Physical Screening. The dates on which Candidates would be screened shall be obtained from the Portal during Registration.
