Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic was established by “The Katsina Polytechnic Law” which came into operation on 1st January, 1983. This Law abrogated the North Central College of Arts, Science and Technology Law of 1975 and effectively created the polytechnic as a legal entity out of the defunct KCAST.
