The Imo State University (IMSU) in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria was established in 1981 through law No. 4 passed by the Imo State House of Assembly. The university admitted the first intake of 392 pioneer students on 23 October, 1981.

After the creation of Abia State in 1991, the Uturu campus of the university became the Abia State University. Imo State University is a fully functional university. Most of the programmes of the university have obtained full accreditation from National Universities Commission (NUC) of Nigeria.

The management of Imo State University (IMSU) has announced two thousand Naira (N2,000) as their  price for the 2022/2023 post UTME form. Candidates are therefore advised to thank note of this amount to avoid being over charged.

IMSU post utme Screening requirements 2023/2024

For you to be eligible to participate in the forthcoming imo state university’s post UTME screening you must have taken the 2022/2023 jamb exams.
You must have either choose IMSU as your first choice of institution during your jamb registration and must have a UTME score of 180.

Candidates, who will not be sixteen (16) years of age by 31st October, 2021 are not eligible and need not apply.

  • Candidates who applied for admission into the University in the 2023/2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).
  • Scored a minimum of 180 marks in the  UTME for all courses.
  • Obtained at least five (5) credit passes at GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalent. The subjects must include English Language, and Mathematics (for courses for which a credit in mathematics is required) as well as three other relevant subjects at not more than two sittings, except for the MB.BS degree for which only one sitting is required.

How to apply to IMSU post utme screening for 2023/2024

  • You are expected to click on prospective students.
  • Carefully look for “click to Apply” which can be found under the  Academic Screening Application.
  • After the system has loaded, you will be required to input your jamb registration number in a space that will provided
  • After the above, you will have to generate an invoice order just click on submit to do that
  • With your invoice number boldly match to any of these banks below :
  • Zenith Bank,
  • IMSU Microfinance Bank,
  • First Bank,
  • Imo State Micro Finance Bank, FCMB,
  • UBA).
  • You will be given an e transact pin at the bank
  • After making the payment at the bank, rush to the system and log back.
  • Input your e transact pin in the space provided. And also enter your jamb registration number.
  • At this point the form will be displayed to you. Fill in all your details, upload your passport
  • Finally click on submit then printout the acknowledgement slip.
