Lagos State University of Science and Technology is a government-owned tertiary institution located in Ikorodu, Lagos State. The institution was formerly known as Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH)
The Lagos State College of Science and Technology ( formerly known as Lagos State Polytechnic) was established with the promulgation of Lagos State Edict No. 1 of 1978 with retroactive effect from June 1, 1977.

The Institution commenced classes in January, 1978 at a temporary site (now the Isolo Campus) with five Departments namely, Accountancy and Finance, Management and Business Studies, Insurance, Secretarial Studies and Basic Studies. They later offered GCE ‘A’ Level courses in the Arts and Sciences.

The Management of the Lagos State University Of Science And Technology (LASUSTECH) has announced that the sales of her 2022/2023 Post UTME Screening may officially commence on the 19th August 2022.
LASUSTECH Post UTME Requirements And Registration
Below is the criteria for eligibility to apply for LASUSTECH Post UTME Screening exercise.
- All interested UTME candidates must have 130 and above in the just concluded 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (JAMB-UTME).
- All Direct Entry Candidates must have made LASUSTECH their first choice
- Candidates Must be 16 years old
- Candidates must have at least an O’level Credit pass in 5 different subjects (Including English language and mathematics). In this case, the O’level result could be WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB or any equivalent.
- Candidate’s O’level result must not be more than two sittings
