Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) List of Courses

The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology is a higher education institute in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. It is funded by the Civil Aviation Department in the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Aviation. Formerly known as the Nigerian Civil Aviation Training Centre, the school was established in 1964.

  1. Higher National Diploma (HND) in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology Airframe (Power plant option).
  2. Higher National Diploma (HND) in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology (Avionics option).
  3. Higher National Diploma (HND) in Aviation Management.

NCAT Admission Requirements

National Diploma (ND) Programme

  1. A minimum of WASC/GCE/NECO/SSCE NTC “O” Level with at least five Credits which must include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language.
  2. Minimum JAMB scores for polytechnics (180). For candidates who have met the above JAMB score but did not select NCAT as their choice are eligible to apply.

Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes

  1. Candidate must possess National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit Pass (CGPA of 2.50 and above) in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology, Aircraft Engineering Technology and a minimum of one year Post ND cognate working experience.
  2. Candidate must possess National Diploma in Aviation Management/Business Administration/ Public Administration with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and a minimum of one-year cognate working experience.

Post Graduate Diploma

  • Air Traffic Safety Electronics Engineering

Candidates must possess BSc or HND in Electrical/Electronic, or NCAT Diploma and Professional Licence or its equivalent.

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Aviation Management PGDAM (Full time)

Candidate seeking admission into PGDAM (full time) must have obtained either of the education qualifications listed below:

  1. Minimum of first Degree (i.e. BSc) from a recognized academic institution OR Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized academic institution with a minimum working experience of two (2) years
  2. NCAT Diploma and professional License or its equivalent with a minimum of working experience of two (2) years.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Aviation Management PGDAM (Part time)

Candidate seeking admission into PGDAM (Part time) must have obtained either of the qualifications listed below:

  1. Minimum of first Degree (i.e. BSc) from a recognized academic institution OR Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized academic institution with a minimum working experience of two (2) years
  2. NCAT Diploma and professional License or its equivalent with a minimum of working experience of two (2) years.
