The NYSC orientation course is an essential part of the one-year compulsory national service for Nigerian graduates. It offers an opportunity for young Nigerians to learn about the country’s diverse culture, develop essential life skills, and foster unity among the different ethnic groups in the country.

NYSC 2023 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course

The orientation course is set to commence on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023, with registration taking place on the same day. Prospective corps members are encouraged to register as soon as possible, as the cut-off date for registration is midnight on Thursday, April 27th, 2023. The swearing-in ceremony will be held on Friday, April 28th, 2023, followed by the closing ceremony on Tuesday, May 16th, 2023.

However, for prospective corps members in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Lagos State, the orientation course will take place at a slightly different schedule. The course will commence on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023, and end on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023.

NYSC 2023 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Required Documents for Foreign Graduates

All prospective Corps Members slated for the 2023 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course are advised to proceed to their respective Camps as stated on their Call-up Letters., Foreign-trained graduates are to report to the camp with their International Passport and original copies of all uploaded documents.

What you need to know about NYSC 2023 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course

Prospective Corps Members are strongly advised not to embark on night journey to the Orientation Camps in order not to endanger themselves. PCMs should diligently read the Call- up letters as they contain all relevant information and guidelines.

Documents for NYSC 2023 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course

National Diploma (ND) Certificate will be presented in addition to other relevant documents by Prospective Corps Members of Mono/Polytechnics as a pre-condition for registration at the Orientation Camps nationwide.

Management has put in place adequate machineries to clamp down and prosecute anyone caught.

Is NYSC call-up letter out for stream 2?

After NYSC registration (printing your green card and COVID slip), the next thing is the call-up letter. NYSC call-up letter is simply a letter that will show your state of deployment and other important information. Call-up letter for NYSC Batch A Stream 2 will be available for printing on 20th April, 2023

In the event of any loss of the Call-up Letter, the prospective Corps Member who collected the Call-up letter from his/her institution is advised to obtain Police Report and Sworn Affidavit and thereafter report to the institution of graduation for further necessary action. Those who initially printed their Call-up Letters on-line can re-print the Call-up Letter in the case of loss.

Other Information

Any person who fails to report for service in the Service Corps as directed in the Call-up Letter and/or refuses to make himself available for service in the Service Corps shall be prosecuted in line with the provisions of Section 13 sub-section 1(a) and (b) of the NYSC Act, Cap. N84, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

All married pregnant and nursing mothers not deployed to their respective husbands’ places of domicile can now proceed to the NYSC Orientation Camps within their spouses’ States of residence for the Orientation course.

  • Evidence of marriage
  • Identity of husband
  • Evidence of husband’s place of domicile.
