Rivers State University (RVSU or RSU), formerly Rivers State University of Science and Technology (UST or RSUST), is a University located in the Diobu (Mile III) area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

As of 2021, the Vice Chancellor of the University is Professor Nlerum Sunday Okogbule.
The Rivers State University of Science and Technology was established in 1972 as the College of Science and Technology.
It was granted independent university status in 1980 and was renamed from College of Science and Technology to Rivers State University of Science and Technology.
It is the only university in Nigeria that is accredited to offer degree programs in Marine Engineering.

RSU JAMB Cut off Mark For All Courses 2023/2024
RSU JAMB cut off mark for all courses 2022/2023 academic session is 180 points, therefore, candidates who score up to 180 and above are automatically eligible for RSU internal screening exercise, but we must warn you, the higher your JAMB score, the higher your chances of clinching the course registered in your UTME.
The table below is the departmental cut off mark for eligibility for post UTME for all candidates.
Kindly note that for any candidate to sit for RSU post UTME screening exam, he or she must first score up to the minimum RSU general cut off mark which would automatically give candidate the bragging right to be able to sit for post UTME at the institution.
