SSU Post UTME Form

Sokoto State University (SSU) is located in Sokoto, Sokoto State in Nigeria. It was established in 2009.

Arising from the insatiable quest of the people of the state for education and excellence, the idea of establishing the Sokoto State University was conceived by the then Sokoto State Governor Aliyu Wamakko when he established the Sokoto State University Implementation Committee in 2008. The committee was charged with the responsibility of:

• Planning for the structure and facilities for the effective running of the university,
• seeking for and obtaining approval from the Federal Government for Sokoto state to run its own university aside, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, which is Federal Government owned and in which the indigenes of the state were marginally placed over the years arising from the Federal Character Principle; and
• establishing the Sokoto State University School of Developmental Studies with the sole aim of preparing students, a one-year pre-degree programme before enrolling into the university.

The approval was granted in 2009.

SSU Post UTME Requirements And Registration 2023/2024

The list below contains the criteria for application for the Sokoto State University Post UTME Form For UTME and Direct Entry Candidates:

1. Candidates Must be 16 years old and above
2. All UTME candidates who scored 160 and above in the just concluded 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (JAMB-UTME).
3. All Direct Entry Candidates who made SSU their first choice
4. All candidates must have at least an O’level Credit pass in 5 different subjects (Including English language and mathematics). In this case, the O’level result could be WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB or any equivalent.
5. Candidates O’level result must not be more than two sittings

1. Go to SSU Screening Portal via https://portal.ssu.edu.ng/.
2. Obtain the SSU Post UTME Form Via SSU Undergraduate Portal.
3. Click on the Post UTME form publication therein.
4. Follow the instructions provided on the portal to successfully buy and register for the SSU Post UTME screening exercise.
5. Print out your POST UTME Registration slip afterwards.
6. Finally, Wait for the SSU Screening result and the admission list.
