Applications are invited from suitably qualified and high-achieving students from outside the EU/EEA for the Umeå University Scholarships for the 2023 academic session.

Umeå University offers scholarships each year, in conjunction with the Autumn semester admission to students in the form of full or partial waiver of the tuition fee.

Scholarships DETAILS

The Scholarships comprises both the University Scholarships for International Students and the Erling-Persson Scholarship for International Students in Public Health.

The Umeå University Scholarships for International students provides financial assistance in the form of full or partial tuition waivers for the students enrolling in a master’s programme in the University. The Erling-Persson Scholarship for International Students in Public Health provides full tuition waivers as well as an allowance of SEK 3000 per month to 8 new students to study public health at the University.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a citizen of a country outside of EU/EEA and Switzerland.
  • Must have applied for admission to study public health or other eligible courses at the University
  • Have the University programme as priority 1 at the University Admissions website.

Application Procedures

Interested applicants for the Umeå University Scholarships are to complete an online application form when the form opens. Only applicants with a University programme in public health and other courses as priority 1 or students who are currently in their first master year are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
