UMYU Post UTME Form 2023/2024

Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University (UMYU), formerly Katsina State University, was established by the Katsina State Government in 2006, to “serve as a nucleus for socio-economic, technological and political development of the State by producing highly skilled human resource through conventional face-to-face and distance learning modes.” Umaru Musa Yar’adua, then the executive governor of Katsina State and later the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, began the work of creating the university before his death in 2010.

The law establishing the Katsina State University was passed by the Katsina State House of Assembly on 5 September 2006, and the University commenced academic activities in January 2007 with three faculties (Education, Humanities, and Natural and Applied Sciences), and 16 undergraduate programmes. The State House of Assembly passed a law changing the name of the university to honor Umaru Musa Yar’adua on 8 April 2009.

Is UMYU Post UTME Form 2023/2024 Out?

The management of Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University (UMYU), wishes to cordially invite all interested candidates to apply for the school’s internal screening exercise. All qualified candidates who wishes to gain admission would be welcome to apply for the school’s post utme exercise.

To successfully participate in the school’s internal screening exercise, all prospective students are advised to get all their necessary documents ready and equally heat up preparations.

UMYU Post UTME Screening Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for admission,  candidates must have:

  1. A minimum of 130 marks and above in the 2022 UTME examination;
  2. Candidates must obtaine a minimum of five (5) relevant credits at O’ level (including English and Mathematics);
  3. Sat for the relevant UTME subject combination in the 2022 JAMB examination;
  4. Direct Entry (DE) candidates shall in addition to the minimum five (5) O’ level relevant credits (including English and Mathematics) in relevant programmes applied, shall also obtain the minimum ‘A’ Level points for the programme they applied.
