The University of Abuja is a tertiary institution in the Nigerian capital, Abuja. It was establishe in January 1988 (under Decree No. 110 of 1992 as amended) as a dual-mode university with the mandate to run conventional and distance learning programmes.

Academic work began in the University in 1990 with the matriculation of its pioneer students.

The University took off from a temporary site, made up of three blocks of building meant for a primary school in Gwagwalada, tagged the “mini – campus”.

Academic activities started on the mini – campus in 1990 after which the University was allocated an expanse of land covering over 11,800 hectares (29,000 acres) along the Abuja city Airport road for the development of its main campus.

• Before you will be considered for admission into UNIABUJA you must either take the 2021/2022 post UTME exams or you purchase a Direct Entry Form.
• Secondly you need to have a reasonable JAMB score at least 180.
• UNIABUJA only accept first choice, so you need to make the institution as your first choice.

• Finally you need to have 5 credits pass in relevant subjects.

How to Apply for UNIABUJA Post UTME.

• First you have to log onto the university of Abuja post utme portal @www.uniabujautme.com/putme
• You will be prompted to create a profile, quickly create your profile following this format :

1. In the relevant space enter your jamb registration number.
2. In the section meant for username input your email
3. This should follow by your phone number.
4. Then a password.

• After you have done the above, click on proceed so that the system will safely redirect you to the payment page.
• On landing on the payment page,kindly chose the type of card that you have ( this can be master card, Visa etc)
• Then click proceed, before you can input your ATM correct details.
• You will receive an OTP code on your device, you are meant to input the code on the system to validate your payment.
• Now that you have successfully paid for your post UTME screening form, you now have to visit http://www.uniabujautme.com/putme/
• Input your password and username
• Now you can now access the post UTME screening form.
• Input the grades of your O level results in the area provided, this should be followed by a scratch card pin that the institution will use to validate the results.
• Now select your mode of entry e.g UTME or Direct Entry.
• Upload your recent passport and fill other necessary details.
• Finally submit your application.
