How to calculate my University of Lagos (UNILAG) Aggregate Score

Take a look at the steps listed below to determine how to calculate your aggregate score.

  • Divide your JAMB score by eight
  • Divide your post UTME score by 2
  • Add up the scores

For example, Musa, applying for Civil Engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), scored 331 in JAMB and 89% in his Post UTME. To calculate his aggregate score, we divide his JAMB score, which is 331, by 8 to give 41.375, while his Post UTME score will also be divided by 2 (89/2) to give 44.5.

Then we add Musa’s scores of 41.375 and 44.5 to give 85.875, which means he will likely gain admission into Civil Engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Note: The University of Lagos announces 50%  to the UTME score and 30% to the post UTME score.

How to Calculate your O’level Result Score

The O’Level result is essential for admission to the University of Lagos, and the overall mark is 20; below are steps to calculate your O’level result score.

In this system of scoring:

  • A1 = 4.0 points;
  • B2 = 3.6 points;
  • B3 = 3.2 points;
  • C4 = 2.8 points;
  • C5 = 2.4 points;
  • C6 = 2.0 points

Assuming Musa, applying for Civil Engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), got A1, B2, C4, A1, and B3 in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, respectively, then his grades are (4.0+3.6+2.8+4.0+3.2) points which is equal to 18 points.

Note: Grades must be obtained at ONE SITTING using only your five (5) required subjects for the course you applied for.

What is the University of Lagos cut off mark?

200

The University of Lagos’s cut off mark for the 2022/2023 academic session is 200; you must attain a score of 200 and above in your recently finished JAMB examination to qualify for admission into UNILAG.

We advise the student to try and score higher to be safer in the admission selection.

Does UNILAG accept Second Choice?

No

The University of Lagos accepts only candidates that choose them as their first choice.

UNILAG considers it a waste of time and resources if you choose them as your second choice.

Can I Buy the University of Lagos Post-UTME Form If I Didn’t Score Up To 200?

No!

You cannot acquire the UNILAG Post-UTME Form if you score below 200 in the recently finished JAMB examination.

My score was above 200; why was I not admitted?

Suppose you meet the University of Lagos (UNILAG) cut off mark for JAMB.

In that case, you will not be automatically admitted to the University until a successful internal screening exercise is completed before the candidate is officially accepted.
