UNIMED Post UTME Form 2023/2024

University of Medical Sciences, Ondo (UNIMED) is a university of medical sciences in Ondo City, Nigeria, owned by the Ondo State Government, established in 2015. It is the third specialized medical university in Africa and Nigeria’s first specialized medical university to be accredited by the National Universities Commission.

The pioneer substantive Vice Chancellor of the University is Professor Friday Okonofua, a Nigerian professor of gynecology and the founder of Women Health and Action Research Centre, a non-profit and charitable organization headquartered in Benin City, which focuses on promoting female reproductive research

The establishment of the university was as a result of the bill signed into law in 2014 by Olusegun Mimiko, the executive governor of Ondo State, to establish a state university of medical sciences. The bill was proposed by the Ondo State House of Assembly under the Schedule 1, Section 5(2), and Article 39(1) of Ondo State Laws. The university’s first substantive Chancellor, Professor Friday Okonofua, was appointed on March 11, 2015 following the approval of the university by the National University Commission, NUC. The current Vice chancellor of the university is Professor Adesegun Fatusi

UNIMED Post UTME Requirements & Eligibility

ELIGIBILITY
1. Candidates who made University of Medical Sciences, Ondo their first and second choices in the 2022 UTME and scored 160 and above are eligible for the Post UTME Screening. In addition, candidates who did not choose the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, and are willing to change to the University are also eligible for the screening

2. Candidates must possess five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O/Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics for the MBBS/BDS programme and not more than two sittings in relevant O/Level subjects including English and Mathematics for other programmes in the University.

3. Direct entry candidates who have already applied to JAMB and who possess a minimum of 10 points in relevant ‘A’ level subjects or a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in the Basic Medical or Biological Sciences with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) are also eligible to apply for Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry Courses.

JAMB UTME SUBJECT COMBINATION
All courses in Faculties require English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in UTME.

Candidates in Mathematics require English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology in the UTME.

How to Apply for UNIMED Post UTME 2023/2024

  • Qualified applicants are to log on to https://www.unimed.edu.ng/postutme/ and click on the “register” button to start the registration process.
  • Enter your details in the fields provided and proceed. Ensure that you use a valid email address and phone number because you can be contacted at any time if the need arises. Now check your e-mail and click on the link sent to you to verify your email.
  • Once your account is verified, you will be redirected to the login page. Alternatively, logon to https://www.unimed.edu.ng/postutme/index.php Enter your registration number and click on the login button.
  • You will be prompted to pay a sum of 2,000 naira for your Post-UTME. Click on the “pay” button and you will be redirected to Remita to pay the fee.
  • After successful payment, you will see a confirmation page including your RRR (note it). Click on continue or wait for 10 seconds and you will be redirected to your portal where you can complete your registration.
  • Provide all the required information and click on “submit” to submit the form.

UNIMED SCREENING SCHEDULE AND VENUE OF EXAMINATION 2022

The Screening Exercise will hold from 30th August – 1st September, 2022. The Venue of Examination is University of Medical Sciences, Odosida Campus, Ondo City, Ondo State. Candidates date and time will be generated on the application slip

ALSO, NOTE THE FOLLOWING ISSUES
1. All candidates are requested to bring along the following items to the screening venue:
a. JAMB UTME Notification of Results or Registration Slips for Direct-Entry Candidates;
b. Printed copy of the completed 2022/2023 Admission Screening slip.
2. Direct Entry Candidates are to forward their Transcript directly to the Registrar, University of Medical Sciences. 3.
